Give me spectacular,
Grant me a miracle,
I pleaded as I prayed.
Speak as You did at creation,
Command, “Let it be,”
And in an instant it will be,
According to Your Word.
Why flawed this cry,
Though wrung
From anguished heart?
From anguished heart?
Flawed because,
It directed God to act,
According to my will,
According to my will,
Not His.
Wisdom whispered tenderly,
“Pray like this,
“Not mine, but let Your
will be done.”
And then the miracle,
Quietly unfurled,
And at its heart was found,
A matchless love.
I did receive a miracle.

my dearest myra,
ReplyDeletei have just read your "SPECTACULAR"!
there have been times
when my PRAYER
has been to command JESUS to heal someone!
yes,
i believe in PRAYER you can command GOD,
which means your faith and trust ALLOW YOU to do that!
love and a hug,
ozy!
After so many years my prayer has now changed to "Yes Lord not mine but your will be done" and as you said miracles do unfurl!
