GOD’S MATCHLESS MASTERPIECE

GOD'S MATCHLESS MASTERPIECE

Heaven surrounds her, the babe is asleep,
Wrapped in the warmth of God’s love,
Angels throng round her, vigil they keep,
Over His pure Turtledove.

Earth jubilates with all of creation,
No cloud mars the azure blue sky,
Blest will she be, in each generation,
Chaste all her virginal life.

Created by God, in flawless perfection,
Peerless the soul of this child,
Saved and redeemed by the Cross of Salvation,
Sorrow will tarry awhile.

Veiled to the world is God’s little treasure,
Born in a place of no worth,
Conceived full of grace, beyond every measure,
For a Work that will later unfurl.

There’ll be a betrothal, she will be espoused,
She’ll coact* with the Triune God,
Satan’s atremble, hell’s dread is aroused
For she will give flesh to her Lord.

Her fiat will grant her unique dispensations,
As the Spirit's most pure and chaste spouse.
She’ll bear in her womb the Light of all Nations,
Enfleshing her Lord and her God.

HAIL MARY - LUKE 1:26-38

Wrapped in perfect silence,
She was immersed in prayer,
Quite unaware an angel of
The Lord was standing there.

He called her name out softly,
“Hail Mary, full of grace.”
His greeting filled her with alarm,
As she returned his gaze.

“Be not afraid dear Mary,
You're chosen to fulfill,
God's plan to bear the Saviour,
Naming Him Emmanuel.”

“You know I am a virgin,
How then can this be true?”
“By the Spirit’s powerful presence,
And God overshadowing you.”

“I am the Lord’s handmaiden,
As you’ve said, so may it be,
According to God’s Holy Word
And His plan for me.”

Not even for an instant,
Did she contemplate,
Refusal to the angel’s plea,
Nor did she hesitate.

Heaven's gates flew open,
Angelic choirs sang,
With her fiat, Divinity,
Took on the flesh of man.

Today we honour Mary,
As the Mother of our race,
God’s exquisite masterpiece,
Adorned with matchless grace.

IN MARY'S SCHOOL

In the school of Mary,
I learn humility.
To walk alongside Jesus,
With fidelity.

My Mama trains me daily,
To seek the narrow way,
That leads to my Redeemer,
So I will never stray.

In the school of Mary,
My soul learns to be still,
She helps me recognize His voice
So I can do His will.

The first of Christ's disciples,
Teaches me to pray,
To put the needs of others,
Ahead of mine each day.

My Mama has the power,
To crush the serpent’s head,
God’s highly favored daughter,
Makes Satan quake in dread.

Like a child I lay my head,
On Mama Mary’s breast,
Enfolded in her loving arms,
My soul finds perfect rest.

A PLACE FOR JESUS

 Help me Mama dearest,
Help me Mama mine,
To conceive and bring to birth,
The little Babe divine.
In my heart this Advent,
Help me prepare a place,
Fragrant with your presence,
Sweet Mama full of grace.

BEHOLD YOUR FAMILY - JOHN 19:25-27

You gazed in painful silence
As He gasped in agony,
Saying to you, “Woman,
Here’s your new family.

My sacrifice repaid the debt,
Now every child is free,
Adopted by My Father,
They are grafted onto Me.

As at Cana, when you find,
That they’ve run short of wine
Bring then, these sons and daughters,
To Me O Mother Mine

Keep them, my dearest Mother,
Under your mantle blue,
These precious little ones of mine,
I now entrust to you."

Mother Mary

Teach me Mother Mary.
How to still my soul,
To magnify my Holy God.
The God who makes me whole.
Father, Son and Spirit,
Were always at your side,
O teach me dearest Mother,
As you would teach a child.

FAIREST OF ALL

The Word of the Lord was delighted,
When His Father said, “Son, You may choose,
From all generations one whom you wish
To be a Mother to You.”

The Word looked at every young maiden,
His eyes scanned the entire race,
Till they fell on a lovely young virgin,
The one Gabriel called full of grace.

She was God’s ideal woman
Created with marvelous care,
Radiant with beauty and goodness,
No being with her could compare.

Her voice was as soft as an angel’s,
Her laugh like a clear rippling stream,
Her scent like the flowers in springtime,
Her smile held the warmth of sunbeams.

God knew from ages eternal,
The one that our Saviour would choose,
To be His new Ark of the Covenant,
The one who would bear His Good News.

So the Vessel of God was created,
Free from original sin,
Her immaculate birth brought heaven to earth,
Awestruck, creation stood still.
