WHO WENT HOME TO GOD
ON HOLY SATURDAY
Relentless time moves on,
Blunting in its wake,
The agonizing razor’s edge,
Of stupefying loss,
And heartrending sorrow.
No longer does our weeping,
Scorch and blind,
But often times a rush of tears,
Can fall as we recall,
A poignant memory.
There is a time to grieve,
A time to mourn,
But healing comes unfailingly,
As comes anew each dawn,
Life has to run its course.
The sting of death lies withered,
By His empty tomb,
Hope promises we'll meet again
In our Father's house,
In His tomorrow.
Blunting in its wake,
The agonizing razor’s edge,
Of stupefying loss,
And heartrending sorrow.
No longer does our weeping,
Scorch and blind,
But often times a rush of tears,
Can fall as we recall,
A poignant memory.
There is a time to grieve,
A time to mourn,
But healing comes unfailingly,
As comes anew each dawn,
Life has to run its course.
The sting of death lies withered,
By His empty tomb,
Hope promises we'll meet again
In our Father's house,
In His tomorrow.

I have a few but precious memories of our lovely Sandi back in Kuwait. May the Good Lord give all of you a generous portion of his Peace, Love, Compassion and Strength everyday. Myra, it is a touching story summed up in this beautiful poem.

Heartwarming poem, so apt. Life goes on but beautiful memories never fade ... I can still picture Sandy with that lovely cheerful smile returning from boarding soon with Pam and you.. those were the days!! Our hearts reach out to all of our dear Sandy's family with fond memories and warm hugs.

You have a beautiful gift that always glorifies God n touches every soul. Love n prayers Salome
ReplyDelete11 years have passed since she went to Jesus. Seems like just yday we were all together in the boarding. Gentle happy always smiling Sandy. Off to college in her mini skirt, high heels and books in her arms . I remember she loved reading and was learning to play the guitar. I also remember you 3 being a team and the connection you all had with each other. This poem is such a beautifully written tribute to her and and a testimony to your faith and love for Jesus. May she be happy and loved wherever Sandy is.
