DESECRATION

To all who have been wounded by the scourge of abortion be assured that you will find hope, peace and healing in the beautiful Sacrament of Reconciliation

How long will we continue,
To look at them as trash,
Dump them in the garbage,
Or watch them burn to ash.
Their cries rise to crescendo,
The silence fills the air,
Their screams are halted midway,
Convulsing in despair.

Our wombs once a safe haven,
Are a sanctuary lost,
These little ones are savaged,
In an endless holocaust.
We dare not dwell too deeply,
Lest we disbelieve the lie,
They are just lumps of tissues,
Babies do not die.

Evil masked in sanity,
Strikes with brutal rage,
Misleading foolish victims,
With the mantra of the age.
Self is now the idol,
Where we worship without shame,
We care not who we sacrifice,
In this gruesome game.

We’ve lost these little treasures,
By heeding ill advice,
And now we grieve in secret,
Aware we’ve been unwise.
God knows that we are wounded,
He sees the hurt within,
He alone can heal us,
Let’s ask to be forgiven.

RETURN TO ME

Let Your healing love stream thru’ me,
Like a river let it flow,
Restoring, cleansing and renewing,
My whole body, mind, and soul.

Kindle faith anew, enable
Me to live my life with grace,
Channeled through Your Holy Spirit,
Finding peace in Your embrace.

Long has fear dogged every footstep,
Stressed and weary to the bone,
Worry’s long been my companion,
Often I’ve felt all alone.

“Come back home my bella mia,
Ritorno a me,”  I hear You say,
“Here I am, my heart’s true longing
I ’ll start afresh with You today.

HALLOWED MEMORIES - HAPPY BIRTHDAY SANDY

The restless, rustling russet leaves,
In frenzy swirl  around my feet,
The balmy winds are fragrant sweet,
With just a touch of summer heat.

The sparrows dart from tree to tree,
They twitter and they chirp in glee,
And every now and then is heard,
The crystal tweet of migrant bird.

It seems like only yesterday,
We watched the breeze and birds at  play,
Our hearts in sync were raised in praise,
Then came the parting of our ways.

I walk along the corridor,
Alone where we once walked before,
And in fond memories, I’ve found,
We meet again on hallowed ground.

19th July 2012

We walked a short distance together each day from the car into the office building and we parted when Sandy went to her office and I to mine.  She continues to walk with me in memory everyday as I picture her at my side.   Happy Birthday sister mine.

PURE BLISS

I’m glad that earth is fleeting,
The troubles of today,
Someday will all be over,
As  sorrows fade away.

I rejoice that earth is fleeting,
That pain will  leave no trace,
Joy and wonder will be mine,
When we meet Face to face.

Alleluia!!  Earth is fleeting,
Heaven only will remain,
For every cross I carry now,
A crown will be my gain.

O bliss to know earth’s fleeting,
The years go whizzing by,
I chant, ‘Te deum,’ as I praise,
My God who reigns on high.

I dance for earth is fleeting,
And though His world has charm,
When the call for me shall come,
I’ll leap into His arms.
