GOD ALONE - A PSALM OF LONGING

O Lord You are my God,
It's You I long for.
O Lord You are my God,
You're all I need.
Fill me, Lord, I pray,
With Your sweet Presence.
Come fill my life anew,
With light and grace.

It's You alone who are,
My cup and portion.
You alone can slake
The thirst within.
Call and I will hasten,
To Your Presence
 Imbued by Love,
At last eternally.

SING A NEW SONG (PSALM 98)

Let’s sing to the Lord, sing a new song,
Recalling the wonders He’s done,
His holy arm, the strength of His hand,
Have wrought every victory won.

His righteous justice is tempered with love,
Abounding in all that He does,
Revealing clemency though sinners we be,
Salvation is His gift to us.

His glory and power fill heaven and earth,
To Him all the living belong,
Echo  you nations with jubilant praise,
Make melody, break into song.

Rejoicing and dancing before God our King
Make music with timbrel and harp,

Bring out the lyre, come sound loud the horn,
Make merry and let trumpet blast.

Clap hands every  river, mountain and hill,
Sing out with great joy to our God,
He comes to rule all the peoples on earth,
With justice and mercy for all.

SEEKING GOD AND FINDING HIM

THE CROSS & CALVARY

I sought Him,
whom my heart has known,
In eternity,
Returning to the haunts where He,
And I met frequently,
Thirsting once again to see,
The One who set me free,
Who died upon the Cross  so I,
Could live in liberty.

I found Him,
Whom my heart has known,
In eternity,
I  walked on holy ground as I,
Ascended  Calvary,
Nailed upon a rough-hewn Cross,
For all the world to see,
I fixed my gaze upon my God
And He looked down at me.

MY GOD IS HERE

You are here!
Beloved Bridegroom of my soul.
At last You have arrived,
My sovereign Lord and King.
You will have to stoop so low,
To come into the bridal chamber
Of my heart.
Humbly You descend,
My gracious King,
So I can make ascent with You,
...........To heaven.

You in me and I in You,

Encompassing  infinity,
For just awhile.
Your loving Presence satisfies
The all consuming  ardor of my soul,
Which will commence again,
As soon as You will go,
T'will last until You come to me
Once more,
In the Holy Eucharist,
...........Tomorrow.
